The names are fictional

Every idea in this directory has a made-up working name (for example, "DilCheck"). These names exist only so each idea can be referred to easily.

  • No company, product, app or service with that name is being described, promoted or launched by us.
  • Any resemblance to a real business, brand or trademark is unintentional and coincidental.
  • We ran a basic web search on each name to avoid obvious clashes. This is not a legal trademark search. If you want to use a name, run a proper trademark and company-name search (for example, on IP India and the MCA portal) and take legal advice first.

The ideas are hypothetical

Each idea is a concept for discussion, not an existing business.

  • The products, features, workflows, teams, launch plans and 90-day steps describe what such a business could look like. None of it has been built, tested or proven.
  • The validation plans, risks and "Our take" sections are our opinions and suggestions. They are not predictions and not guarantees.
  • An idea appearing here does not mean it is viable, legal in your situation, or a good fit for you.
  • Several people may read the same idea. Nobody owns an idea by reading about it here, and we make no claim of exclusivity.

What is researched, and how far to trust it

Not everything here is invented. Facts and figures come from outside sources, which are cited at the bottom of each page.

  • Market sizes, growth rates and statistics come from published sources: government data, research papers, company reports and industry research firms. Many are estimates by those sources, and estimates from different firms often disagree. Treat them as directional.
  • Cost and capital figures are our own modelled estimates, given as ranges, unless a source is cited for them. Your real costs will depend on your location, team, scope and timing.
  • Difficulty scores are our judgement on a consistent scale. They help you compare ideas, not measure any one idea precisely.
  • Currency conversions use the exchange rate on the research date shown on each page. Rates change.
  • Information goes out of date. Each page shows the date it was researched. Regulations, prices and markets may have changed since.

Pages mention real companies and products as comparables or inspiration. We describe them using public information only.

  • A mention is not an endorsement, partnership or affiliation, and implies no criticism.
  • All trademarks and brand names belong to their owners.
  • If anything we say about a company is inaccurate, tell us and we will correct it.
