These retail & e-commerce startup ideas for India focus on the brands and stores that sell, not on building yet another marketplace. Most of them help a seller fix one costly problem - stock, returns, photos, pricing or lost customers. Each idea has a full page with capital ranges, launch steps and sources.
The buyer is almost always a business. Small D2C brands, regional supermarket chains, jewellers and appliance dealers make up most of the list. Bobbinway restocks sold-out styles for small fashion brands in about ten days. Daycount gives regional supermarkets a daily markdown list for short-dated stock.
Capital needs are fairly even across the sector. Most ideas sit between โน40 L and โน1.2 Cr, with launch times of four to nine months. Software-led ideas tend to take longer to launch than service-led ones, which surprises a lot of people.
Not everything here is light on rules though. Shortdate deals in short-dated medicines between chemists, so it needs the right drug licences before it can trade.
Read the regulation section on each page before you commit.
