These space tech startup ideas for India include many that do not need you to build a rocket or a satellite. Some serve satellite teams on the ground. Others use satellite data for buyers on Earth, and a few sell space experiences to consumers. Each idea has a full page with capital ranges, launch steps and sources.
The largest group sells services to India's small-satellite and propulsion teams. Shakebay runs shake and vacuum test campaigns that clear small satellites for rideshare. Duefall studies orbit and disposal plans before launch.
A second group uses satellite data for other industries. Wakeline uses radar satellite checks to flag fishing boats missing from the transponder roll.
Capital needs range widely. Service and data ideas often start under โน1.1 Cr and launch in six to nine months, but ideas that need heavy infrastructure, such as shared ground-station antennas, cost several crores and take well over a year.
The customer base is small and specialised. Many buyers are startups, research labs or government agencies, and authorisation rules apply to some activities.
